Kaleidoscope - Music Box 'Amazing Grace' by Hiroshi Wakabayashi

'How sweet the sound' and the view inside this beautiful handcrafted music box kaleidoscope that plays the centuries old song Amazing Grace. Amazing Grace is a Christian hymn published in 1779, with words written in 1772 by the English poet and Anglican clergyman John Newton (1725–1807).

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

This kaleidoscope has an overall antique look with a body made from torched copper tubing and wire set atop a lightweight square base of copper, wood and painted acrylic.  The turning object plate is made with brass colored epoxy with a variety of colorful beads and stones set into it.  When you crank the attached hand crank, the music plays and the object plate turns creating a colorful full field view of repeating mandalas from the 3-mirror system inside the copper tube.  You'll enjoy the color and sparks when light reflects off the gold epoxy while hearing the lovely song at the same time.

A unique kaleidoscope sure to please both the eyes and ears!

This kaleidoscope measures approximately 8-1/2" tall with a base of 4" by 3-1/4".
