Kaleidoscope - Small Mandala in Brass 3 Mirror | Chesnik Scopes by Sue Rioux

The Small Mandala in Brass is a pedestal style kaleidoscope with two interchangeable and independently turning wheels created in a stained glass technique. One of the wheels is composed of hand-cut textured dichroic glass, and the second wheel of highly reflective, smooth dichroic glass, which in combination, produces a visual extravaganza of intense color. The usual response from a first-time viewer is a gasp and an exclamation of delight.

The majority of the image you see as you look through its eyepiece is created by the primary wheel, or the one closest to your eye, and the secondary wheel provides background or accent image. When you unscrew the knob holding the wheels and trade out the wheels front-to-back, you are rewarded with an entirely different kaleidoscopic view.* The round eyepiece affords a pristine view of the 5-point star mandala.  This version is a 3-mirror.

The kaleidoscope itself is 7-1/2" long x 1.5" diameter, and the wheels are 3" in diameter. It is attached to its custom walnut wooden pedestal and brass base. This kaleidoscope measures 10" tall x 4" wide at the base.

*You can also purchase other add-on wheels to make this kaleidoscope even more interchangeable:  3" Chesnik Wheels
