Kaleidoscope - 'Gemstone - Sapphire' by Sue Rioux Design

Part of the Gemstone Collection, Sapphire (September) is an exquisite stained glass, 3-mirror kaleidoscope whose oil cell is filled with dichroic glass pieces and small baubles in varying shades of deep blue with a hint of complementary colors.  The body is an iridescent blue stained glass finished with a dichroic glass jewel enhancement and dark blue rods along the top side.  

Easy to hold and breathtaking to view, the oil cell has square glass knobs on either side, affording the viewer an easy turning method. It is finished with Sue's signature patina she adds to all her soldering, resulting in a copper effect, on the eyepiece end, four little feet, and other adornments. This is truly a gem of a kaleidoscope. It measures 6-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide and stands 2" tall.
