David has been designing and creating kaleidoscopes since 1983. They tend to be sleek and contemporary, incorporating various combinations of metal, wood and acrylic. Many of his kaleidoscopes feature polished gemstones in oil cells. Optical lenses and precision-made mirror systems transform nature's palate into brilliant, beautiful, and often breathtaking kaleidoscopic patterns.
The concepts and craftsmanship of David's kaleidoscopes have earned consistent recognition as distinctive among gallery owners, customers and collectors.
NOTE: It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime kaleidoscope artist David Kalish in late August 2022.
