Jon Greene, Chesnik Scopes (Artist-in-Residence)

Since 1980, Chesnik Scopes has been credited for perfecting the wheeled kaleidoscope. This line consists of raw brass tubes with wheels of dichroic glass, Brazilian agate stone, or intricate filigree patterns. Each style sits on its own wooden stand or pedestal, and is available in brass-, or chrome-plated finishes that will never tarnish.

Janice's son, Jon Greene, has played an essential part of Chesnik Scopes since 1990, and he took over the business in 2007 when his folks retired. He's also our store's Artist-in-Residence and regularly demonstrates how he creates these beautiful kaleidoscopes at classes held around the country.

Jon has taken on quite a few corporate gifts of his line, too. Kaleidoscopes are often given as a metaphor to signify a new beginning, for instance. Jon's line appeals to both men and women, and engraved plaques can easily be added to the wooden bases and pedestals, or those can be engraved directly. Please contact us about corporate order options available at all budgets.

Jon Greene and Chesnik Scopes were featured in the 2010 Holiday Issue of Cape Cod Life Magazine and The Enterprise's 2018 Holiday Gift Guide. Long a mainstay of every serious kaleidoscope collection, Chesnik Scopes make beautiful gifts for everyone you know—including yourself!
